Annaprashana Ceremony
with his beloved parents Roopa & Mihir
Namaste! I'm Suryansh — and ever since I arrived in this beautiful world, I've been on the most disciplined diet imaginable. All-liquid. Milk only. No exceptions, no cheat days. But this Sunday, my parents have decided it's finally time to graduate — time to taste the world. I am having my very first bite of solid food, and there is nothing I'd love more than to have your blessings, your laughter, and your love around me as I take this big step. Come celebrate with me. Your presence is the greatest gift. 🪷
With tiny hands folded in gratitude,Suryansh ☀️
"Children live in the present moment as they have no preconceived notions of how life ought to be. Watching children play is a form of meditation."

Annaprashana — meaning "first grain" in Sanskrit — is one of the most joyous ceremonies in Hindu tradition. It marks the sacred moment when a baby transitions from mother's milk to the nourishment of the earth for the very first time. One of the 16 sacred Samskaras of Hindu life, it is celebrated with family, prayers, music and of course, delicious food. Elders bless the child by placing rice on their tongue, symbolising a life filled with abundance, wisdom, and boundless joy. ☀️
